- Petrology and geochemistry of the Plio- Pleistocene alkali basalts from the Pannonian Basin

- Composition and zoning of rock forming silicates (mainly clinopyroxene) in igneous rocks and applicalitons to magma evolution and thermobarometry

- Geochemical study of policrystalline diamonds (framesite, diamondite) and their silicate intergrowths

- Mineralogy of hydrothermal ore mineralizations in Hungary

- Application of in situ analytical methods (electron microprobe, laser ablation ICP-MS) in petrology and geochemistry
